A child raised on the edge of war
Itachi was born to Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha in the closing years of the Third Shinobi World War. Where other children grew up hearing stories of glory, he grew up walking past the aftermath — collapsed roads, burning camps, and shinobi who never came home. That exposure did something unusual to him: instead of hungering for strength, he learned to fear what strength does when it has nowhere kind to go.
By four he was already quiet in a way adults found unsettling. By seven he had graduated the Academy at the top of his class in a single year. Shuriken at bullseye accuracy, Sharingan awakened at eight, chūnin at ten — every milestone arrived years early, and every one of them widened the distance between him and the people around him.
